Prelude to a Holiday

We're off on our holiday.

Homework - no prizes for guessing where we're going...

"Our backs are packed, we're ready to go"...

Initially by taxi to the station, and then the 15.00 to St Pancras:

and then on to Stratford International, to check into the Westfield Stratford Premier Inn for one night.

There was time for a quick walk around the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, from where various items were purchased to form the basis of a picnic supper in our room, and a stroll across the road to ensure that we could remember the layout of the platforms for the DLR train in the morning:

Back to the room for the aforementioned picnic, and the 2IC took a a few touristy shots from the window. The Shard in the distance:
